- Description
- SYNOPSIS : The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office - SCRO, plans to issue solicitation IFBP05141100001for the construction of, to include but not limited to, the furnishing of two 1750KW, 12470 high voltage generators, with automatic transfer switch, new switch gear, new underground high voltage cabling from the powerhouse to all institutional transformers. Replace the overhead 12470 lines and replace with underground service to the new generators and to the switch gear. Removal of all existing switch gear, high voltage cabling and removal of the overhead main electrical feeds to the powerhouse. Test all new equipment, new high voltage lines and provide taring to staff of the proper operation of new equipment. The performance period is 450 calendar days after receipt of a notice to proceed. The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor for the complete construction of the work located at the Federal Correctional Institution, Seagoville, Texas. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation will available on or about April 7, 2011 with an anticipated bid opening date of approximately May 12, 2011. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website http//www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including any amendments will also be distributed soley through this site. Faith Based and Community Based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. This is a 100% small business set-aside.
