- The Purchase Description has been revised to correct the quantity required and to specify only 'tailstock' options. The tooling has been significantly changed, reduced quantity and deletion of some items. ************************************************************ DUE TO TECHNICAL REVISIONS IN THE TOOLING, THIS PROCUREMENT IS HEREBY RE-OPENED. INTERESTED VENDORS MUST DOWNLOAD THE REVISED TECH PACKAGE AND SUBMIT A NEW OFFER, INCLUDING A NEW COMPLIANCE STATEMENT. THE AMENDED CLOSING DATE IS MARCH 4, 2011. ************************************************************ The DLA Aviation Engineering Division, Richmond, VA, will procure 1 (one) CNC Turning Center, Mori Seiki series NL 2000 on behalf of the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE), Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Florida. DLA intends to procure the product and services on an Other Than Full and Open Competition basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), available from only one or a limited number of sources. Procedures are in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) to match existing equipment. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for a commercially available product, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation vehicle; a DIBBS solicitation will not be issued. The award will be made as a firm, fixed-price contract. The requested performance period is 90 calendar days or sooner after receipt of contract.
