- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to negotiate solely with Dupont Qualicon, E.I. Du Pont De Nemours and Company, located at Wilmington, DE 19808, for Bax System Extended Service Agreements for seven (7) Dupont Qualicon Model Classic Instruments (Part Number 08800749) and three (3) Dupont Qualicon Model Q7 Instruments (Part Number 08801152). Period of performance is April 1, 2011 thru March 31, 2012. The contractor shall furnish all labor, parts, software upgrades, and materials to maintain the BAX Classic and Q7 systems in operating condition that meets specifications claimed by DuPont Qualicon. The contractor shall also provide unlimited phone support. The prospective procurement will be a firm-fixed-price contract with a 1-year period of performance. The award of this procurement is subject to FAR 52.232-18, Availability of Funds (Apr 1984). Dupont Qualicon, E.I. Du Pont De Nemours and Company, is the only known source which can provide all of the required maintenance service. This procurement will be conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302.1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Authority: 41 U.S.C. 253( c ) (1). The above listed equipment for this service agreement is located in St. Louis, MO. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Request for copies of this solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government does not intend to pay for information received. All interested parties must respond within seven (7) calendar days from the date of this notice. Written responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating your firm's capability to provide the proprietary maintenance services. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement FSIS-07-B-11. If after 2:00 p.m. (EST), March 4, 2011, no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, USDA/FSIS shall negotiate solely with Dupont Qualicon, E.I. Du Pont De Nemours and Company.
