- The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District is hosting a pre-solicitation conference for the upcoming Portland Harbor Clamshell Maintenance Dredging procurement. The intent of this conference is to have open communication with potential clamshell dredging contractors prior to the writing of the solicitation package. This conference will be held via phone on March 11, 2011 at 11:00 PST. The Portland Harbor Clamshell Maintenance dredging contract will consist of dredging Post Office Bar RM 2+00 to RM 2+30 on the Willamette River. The upland dredged material placement site for the project will be located on West Hayden Island, Portland, OR. Topics for the conference include: scope of work, environmental considerations, project schedule, project team members, and substantial changes from last year's specifications, and questions and comments. Items discussed during the solicitation are subject to change, and potential bidders are encouraged to read the complete solicitation package when issued.
