Description
The Contracting Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk, VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract for material handling equipment maintenance and repair services utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. Commander Navy Region Mid-Atlantic requires maintenance and repair services for material handling equipment at the Naval Submarine Base New London. The requirement includes preventative maintenance and repair, emergency repair, and repair materials. The period of performance consists of a one-year base period with four one-year option periods, with the option to extend services IAW FAR clause 52.217-8. The anticipated award date is on or about 28 March 2011. The requirement will be 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code applicable to this procurement is 811310. The size standard is $7.0M. The RFQ, any documents related to this procurement, and all amendments issued will be in electronic form. THE RFQ IS NOT YET AVAILABLE. Once available, the RFQ will be posted to this site. The RFQ will be available on or about 9 March 2011. The NECO website has a submit bid button next to the solicitation number. DO NOT use the submit bid button on NECO to submit your quotation. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Government. By submitting a quote, the offeror will be self-certifying that neither the principal corporate officials nor owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to conduct verbal or written discussions with respect to other than price with the offerors at anytime prior to award. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from the RFQ, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
