Description

This project is to replace sidewalks and stairs at the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Building, 74 North Washington Street, Battle Creek, Michigan. The project includes the following work: provide all labor, supervision, materials and equipment to remove existing stairways and sidewalks, and replace with new as detailed in scope of work and drawings. Completion time is 60 calendar days from notice to proceed. Work is to be performed between the hours of 7am and 5pm. The estimate price is between $25,000 and $150,000. This procurement is set-aside for small business concerns. NAICS is 238990 with size standard of $14 million. This is a negotiated procurement. Proposals will be evaluated on past performance. The solicitation will be issued on or about March 18, 2011. A pre-bid site visit for this project is scheduled for Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 10 am. The date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the solicitation. Anticipated award date is April 29, 2011. In order to obtain the solicitation documents, contractors must be registered at both the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) websites. IMPORTANT: No Federal material can be downloaded until registration has been completed at both sites. Those interested may gain access to FedTeDS by first registering with Central Registration (CCR) at 'http://www.ccr.gov', (you must have a valid DUNS number issued by Dun and Bradstreet to register). Contractors will obtain a CCR Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN) and CAGE Code after registering successfully. After registration in CCR, please visit the FedTeDS website at 'http://www.fedteds.gov'. You will then be required to access the vendor registration form by selecting the hyperlink entitled "Register with FedTeDS" and then choosing the "Vendor Registration Form" hyperlink. You will be required to enter your CCR MPIN and CAGE code or DUNS number to receive a user name and password for FedTeDS. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and for monitoring FedBizOpps and FedTeDS for possible amendments and/or additional information. All vendors will be required in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) to use the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in federal solicitations as part of the proposed submission. You may access ORCA via the following site, 'www.orca,bpn.gov'. Potential offerors should refer to the solicitation package regarding instructions involving the use of ORCA.
