- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NAICS Code:334111 Subject:Commercial Hardware Solicitation Number:W31P4Q-11-T-0075 Description:Engineering Development Unit (EDU) It is the Government's intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order for the following commercial off-the-shelf hardware: 1.P/N: 900-100569-101, EDU, Qty: 1ea This requirement is intended to be a sole source to GE Intelligent Platform Embedded Systems (GIPES), 12090 S Memorial Pkwy, Huntsville, AL 35803. GIPES is the only provider for this hardware because it is proprietary. Use of other hardware is unacceptable due to the requirement to match the existing hardware, is proprietary, and is used by the MDA Targets project. Authority Cited: Statutory Authority permitting other than Full and Open Competition for this requirement is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C)(1), as implemented by paragraphs 6.302-1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) entitled - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this requirement is W31P4Q-11-T-0075. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, the clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, and clause 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. Delivery of the commercial hardware will be made FOB Destination to: US Army RDECOM, SED, RDMR-BAS (Carlos Spencer), Building 6263, Hackberry Road, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5260.
