- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation FA4877-11-Q-0272 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-49; Defense Circular Number 20110222; Air Force Circular 2011-0214. This procurement is being issued as Full and Open. CLIN 0001 - UpgradeMotorola XTS 5000 with Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) secure communications capability (56 EA). Description: 1. Upgrade equipment with the latest Radio System Software/Firmware Technology Refresh software release for the XTS5000 radio. 2. Perform subscriber updates (operating software/firmware enhancements) currently published by Motorola Solutions under its Field Service Bulletin program. 3. Install upgrade features by using Motorola Solutions Original Equipment Manufacturing software. 4. Radios will be upgraded, electronically realigned to Factory specification, technology refreshed and returned between six or seven work-days from date of receipt providing no major repairs are required. 6. Provide a standard warranty for all parts, software and labor for 90-days after equipment return shipment date. 7. The radio program (code plug) in the equipment when received will be reinserted into the equipment after the necessary upgrades have been completed. In the absence of a code plug in the radio, download a generic template utilizing the latest Radio Service Software version for the equipment. 8. At reciept of the Radios Vendor must complete the requirement no later than seven days from reciept of radios. Vendor is required to then ship the radios to their end location in South Korea. Incorporate any charges, if any, that are required to accomplish this. Shipping will be FOB Destination to: ATTN: Capt David Flowers, Mark for 354 EAMU, 51 AMXS, Unit 2026, Bldg 1624, APO, AP 96278-2026. Please included estimated delivery time after reciept of radio. Quotes will be evaluated on lowest price technically acceptable.
