- Description
- The U.S. Army Research Institute (ARI) intends to enter into a sole source contract with the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area (The Consortium) to acquire technical and analytical services of university students and faculty for the conduct of research at ARI. Such support should take the following forms: (a) provide appropriately trained and experienced undergraduate, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and faculty members for direct work on ARI research and analysis; (b) facilitate a mentoring relationship between ARI scientists and Consortium undergraduate and graduate students; (c) provide faculty to supervise students to perform advanced research and analysis; (d) match faculty expertise to designated research and analysis needs within ARI; and (e) provide a pool of subjects for research and studies where this is deemed necessary and mutually agreeable. The period of performance will be a two-year base period with a maximum of one two-year option and one one-year option for a total of five years. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541720 Research and Development. This action will be procured using OTHER THAN FULL AND OPEN COMPETITIVE PROCEDURES. The anticipated date of award is 31 March 2011. All interested firms that possess the capability to meet the Government's requirement are encouraged to respond by providing the information on or before 31 March 2011, 2:00 P.M. EST.
