This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is VA-261-11-RQ-0162 for Synergy 2 Multi-mode Microplate Reader. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 will be used in conjunction with commercial items procedures of FAR Part 12. NAICS code is 511210, size standard is 500 employees. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-49 and VA Acquisition Circulars through January 24, 2011. In addition, the "equal" system must have comparable support, warranty, and equipment services, and services and installation shall not be conducted by third party subcontractors.
