- DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS SEEKING MEDICAL OFFICE SPACE Notice: This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. Information received by the Government in response to this RFI will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this RFI will be received by the Government, and a solicitation may be issues in the future. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) desires to lease medical space to yielding 9,520 ANSI/BOMA (ABOA) square feet (formerly usable square feet (USF)) in Minneapolis, Minnesota for use as medical office space. The space must be handicap / ADA compliant and can be provided by new construction or modification of existing space. PARKING AMENTIES On-site parking for sixty-one (61) vehicles is required, six (6) have to be designated as Disabled/Handicapped and ten (10) space for Government vehicle at no additional cost. LEASE TERM This will be a full service lease contract with a lease term of two (2) base years. DELINEATED AREA The available space must be within the following delineated area within the city limits of Maplewood, MN: North: Washington Avenue South: 36th Street East/36th Street West East: Riverside/West River Parkway West: Hennepin Avenue connecting to 94 connecting to Plymouth Avenue North A market survey of properties offered for lease will be conducted by VA personnel. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Expressions of interest must be submitted in writing and should include the following information at minimum (This is not a solicitation): *Building name/address *Proof of ownership *Location of space in the building and date it will be available *One-eight inch scale drawing of space offered *Pictures of the proposed property *Map or proof that the propose property is within the delineated area *ANSI/BOMA (ABOA) defined office area (formerly usable) square feet (USF) *Common Area Factor used to determine the RSF *In cases where an agent is representing multiple ownership entities, written acknowledgement, and permission to represent multiple owners for the same submission. Contact is required no later than 4:30 P.M. CST, March 13, 2011. The Government is limited by law (40 USC 278a, as Amended 10-1-81) to pay no more than the appraised fair rental value for space.
