- 1.) Negative pressure required? 1) Not required 2.) Will air need to be exhausted or can it be filtered? 2) You can use two (2) negative air machines with HEPA filters and vent the air into the hallway. The construction activity for this project is considered to be Type C, Low Risk per Part 4 of Section 00 72 03 Safety & Health Regulations. 3.)Where can the radiant panels be isolated? 3) There is a shut-off in the room above the ceiling. 4.)Is there a fire strobe in the room 4) No 5.)Do sprinkler heights change? 5) No 6) Please provide the name and contact information for the roofer who has the current warranty on the roof in this project. 6) RSI Roofing, Inc. (315-287-3665) Can also be referenced on drawing AI-101, zone 4B 7) During the walk through on March 1st, a verbal question was asked about the Fire Alarm. The response I heard conflicted with Notes 4 and 11 on drawing AI-100. These notes say that the VA will perform any work required on the Fire Alarm System. a) Will the VA perform the Fire Alarm work in accordance with these notes? b) If not, please identify the Fire Alarm scope of work, the Fire Alarm testing requirements, and the contact information for the contractor who is currently maintaining and/or who has installed the Fire Alarm system. 7) These are general notes. There are no changes planned for the fire alarm system, therefore these 2 notes don't apply. As for moving/adding sprinkler heads, the VA will work with the contractor to de-energize the sprinkler system so heads can be worked on. A contractor who has worked on our sprinklers in the past is DAVIS ULMER (contact person is Ed Priest, 315-451-0971). 8) Has a location been determined for all the equipment currently in the room, will it be moved to a nearby room or another floor etc.? 8) Approximate locations are shown on drawings GI-100 and AI-101 9) The current supply and return air ducts, are they just air exchangers and not connected to a heat or ac system? 9) Yes, they are connected to a central air system 10) Is the cost of the Johnson Controls that are supplied the contractors responsibility or the VA? 10) Contractor shall hire (and oversee) Johnson Controls to perform control work noted on drawing.
