- Request A/E firm provide all required labor, material, equipment, and site investigations to develop construction documents to include contract drawings and specifications for the development of contract documents. Work includes construction period services and site visits. Project includes relocation of patient bed headwalls on 3rd Floor West Wing and 4th Floor West Wing (25 rooms total) of Building 53 at Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center. Renovation will require relocation of all headwall utilities including medical gasses, electric, data, and patient monitoring system as well as architectural changes to relocate the headwall and match existing room finishes. A/E shall develop all demolition, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical and fire protection drawings and specifications for these disciplines and provide a detailed construction cost estimate. A/E firm shall comply with NFPA, NEC and Life Safety Codes, VA Design Criteria, construction standards and other required documents for the development of these documents. Construction Standards and other required documents can be obtained on the internet at: (http://www.cfm.va.gov/TIL/) for the development of these documents. A/E will utilize VA Master Construction Specifications for preparation of project specifications. Master Specifications can be obtained on the internet at: ( http://www.cfm.va.gov/TIL). The specifications shall be modified for project design. A/E shall provide D size drawings and completed drawings will also be furnished on electronic media (CD or DVD) in 2006 Auto Cad format. A/E will include an accurate detailed construction cost estimate to permit establishment of the final cost limits for this project. A/E will conduct construction period services during the construction phase of this project. This will include site visits on request, technical support required during the construction and the submittal review process. The firm shall field verify every aspect that relates to the project, coordinate visits with the Project Manager. A/E Engineering Firm must be proficient in the use of Auto Cad 2006 and have access to Microsoft Word 5.0 or higher. Estimated time of completion is 120 calendar days. Estimated cost of construction is $385,000.00. Area of consideration is restricted to within three hundred (300) miles of the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center, 1011 Honor Heights Drive, Muskogee, OK 74401. This requirement is a set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Please submit three (3) copies of your current SF 330 to the attention of David L. Brown, Contract Specialist (90c), Jack C.
