- Request A/E firm provide all required labor, material, equipment, to complete site investigations to develop construction documents for contract drawings and specifications to include construction period services for the review and approval of samples and shop drawings and providing clarifications to problems and question during the construction of the project and site visits for review of construction progress and inspections during the construction phase. Project includes renovation of approximately 329 square feet in Room 2C06 on the second floor Building 1 C-Wing, at Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center. Renovation will require upgrades to electrical lighting, HVAC, and fire protection systems as well as architectural changes to accommodate the new equipment being provided to replace existing equipment for unit upgrade. A/E shall develop all demolition, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical and fire protection drawings and specifications for these disciplines and provide a detailed construction cost estimate. A/E firm shall comply with NFPA, NEC and Life Safety Codes, VA Design Criteria, VA Construction Standards and other required VA documents for the development construction drawings and specifications. The VA shall provide Equipment drawings from the manufacture of the Radiology Equipment to be purchase by the Medical Center. The design investigations, design review trips and the construction site trips shall occur at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center located in Muskogee, OK from award of design to the completion of the construction phase. Construction Standards and other required documents can be obtained on the internet at: (http://www.cfm.va.gov/TIL/) for the development of these documents. A/E will utilize VA Master Construction Specifications for preparation of project specifications. Master Specifications can be obtained on the internet at: ( http://www.cfm.va.gov/TIL). The specifications shall be modified for project design. A/E shall provide D size drawings and completed drawings will also be furnished on electronic media (CD or DVD) in 2006 Auto Cad format. A/E will include an accurate detailed construction cost estimate to permit establishment of the final cost limits for this project. A/E will conduct construction period services during the construction phase of this project. This will include site visits on request, technical support required during the construction and the submittal review process. The firm shall field verify every aspect that relates to the project, coordinate visits with the Project Manager. A/E Engineering Firm must be proficient in the use of Auto Cad 2006 and have access to Microsoft Word 5.0 or higher. Estimated cost of construction is $150,000.00. Area of consideration is restricted to within three hundred (300) miles of the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center, 1011 Honor Heights Drive, Muskogee, OK 74401. This requirement is a set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small business. Please submit three (3) copies of your current SF 330 to the attention of David L.
