Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT to conduct market research for developing a procurement strategy for a possible upcoming opportunity entitled, "Intake and Spillway Crane Rehab, Albeni Falls Dam, Oldtown, Idaho" The purpose of this notice is to measure the interest of Small Businesses (SB), 8(a), Small Disadvantage Business (SDB), Woman Owned Business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), or HUBZone prime contractor business sources and their size classifications relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237990 "Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction" for the subject opportunity. The Seattle District, US Army Corps of Engineers requires the rehabilitation of both intake and spillway cranes including: new guard rail, access ladders, and gates; new platform, guard rail, and cable reel; new generator set; new main cab; new auxiliary cab (intake crane only); main hoist (including motors, drums, shafts, couplings, reducers, gears, bearings, brakes, etc.); trolley drive (including motors, shafts, couplings, reducers, gears, bearings, brakes, etc.), and gantry drive (including motors, shafts, couplings, reducers, gears, bearings, brakes, etc.). Optional work includes gantry drive idler and final gear sets, and main hoist upper and lower block assemblies. The project location is the Albeni Falls Dam Project near Oldtown, Idaho. The estimated cost range for this project is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Send your notice of interest to this project as soon as possible but no later than 2:00 pm (Pacific Time) on 15 March 2011.
