- THIS EVENT IS GEARED TOWARDS HUBZONE, SDVOSB, OR WOSB BUSINESSES. ONLY THOSE HUBZONE, SDVOSB, OR WOSB BUSINESSES WILL BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Acquisition Policy and Management, in coordination with the HHS Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Office, are hosting an acquisition forum (Forum ) for HUBZone Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, and Women-Owned Small Businesses. The Forum is an outreach event aimed at bringing together representatives from these SBA Programs to network and partner with NIH acquisition and program offices. The theme is "NIH: Expanding Diversity in Small Business Partners." There will be speakers, panels, and Government and industry sponsored booths. The topics being addressed will include SBA initiatives relative to these Programs, and NIH activities in the areas of IT/Telecommunications, Management Consulting/Staffing and Construction-A&E available to these Programs. The Forum is scheduled for Tuesday, May 3, 2011, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, in the Natcher Building, Building 45. The Natcher Building is located on the main NIH campus at 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, Maryland, 20892. On-line registration for this event is at http://oamp.od.nih.gov/ under News and Events. There is no fee for registration, however, it is limited by the venue capacity. Attendance per company or organization will be limited to two participants. NIH intends to publish a list of attendees to encourage partnering and subcontracting opportunities.
