- Description
- LSJ Sunny Point Fire and Emergency Services Department currently uses Tomar lighting products on its fleet of emergency vehicles. Over 60% of the current fleet has Tomar light bars installed. The remainder of the fleet is the current requirement. Tomar All current on-hand replacement parts are for use in Tomar products. Ordering any other manufacturers lightbars would require another set of replacement parts to be purchased at an additional cost to the Government. Additionally, Tomar products offer interchangeability capabilities between their products that would be lost with the introduction of another manufacturer's product. These interchangeability capabilities allow equipment to be moved or reconfigured as needed, reducing equipment downtime that would normally be associated with reconfiguring operations or with procuring repair parts. Tomar's modular design is proprietary and no other manufacturers offer like items that would be compatible with the Tomar design. These products will provide a seamless fit into current Sunny Point Fire and Emergency Services Department on-hand equipment enabling the Department to continue to meet its mission in a safe and efficient manner.
