Description
This SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE is for informational purposes only pursuant to FAR Part 10. This notice is issued by the Fort Worth District in the Southwestern Division of the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers to identify Small Business sources capable of providing professional sign language interpreters on a daily "call on demand" basis for various Government agencies within the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. The applicable NAICS Code is 541930, Translation and Interpretation Services, with a size standard of $7.0 million. Interpreters need to be knowledgeable and experienced in working with deaf professionals in work settings, including meetings, teleconferences, training and one-on-one interviews. Skill levels required include: TCD (Texas Commission for the Deaf) level I, II, III, IV and V or RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) equivalent. The certification Level of the interpreter needed will be requested at time of call. As much advance notice as possible will be given a 24 hour response is expected. However, in emergency situations request will be made with a minimum of 24 hour notice and expect a response within 6 hours. The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, equipment, program management, materials, transportation and any other items and services necessary to perform the services required. Interested firms capable of providing these services are requested to respond no later than 2:00p.m. CST on 08 April 2011 via e-mail to: Sue.Jones@usace.army.mil. Your response should be limited to 5 pages and include, at a minimum, the following information: -Name and address of company -Point of contact, title and phone number -Business size/certification (SB, SDVOSB, HUBZone, 8(a), WOSB) -Capabilities statement -Past performance/jobs/contracts (at least 3 sources please) This notice is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Quote or a Request for Proposal; and, is not considered to be a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided. At this time no solicitation exists. The government reserves the right to consider any arrangement as deemed appropriated for this procurement. Please watch FedBizOps for updates and future release of additional information. Prior to award of any Government contract a contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33.
