- Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Informatics & Analytics, Office of Training and Strategy VA eHealth University (VeHU) MyVeHU Campus HTML5 Upgrade and Phase Two Development INTRODUCTION The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration Program Contracting Activity - Central (VHA PCAC) is seeking potential sources to support Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Informatics & Analytics, Office of Training and Strategy VA eHealth University (VeHU). BACKGROUND 1.The VA eHealth University is part of the Office of Informatics & Analytics (OIA). VA eHealth University (VeHU) is VA's annual training conference that provides education on the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) and related clinical software (VistA) developed by the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Every year, VeHU highlights innovations towards patient care through training classes on VHA's clinical informatics products. In order to provide an engaging and educational online learning resource, VA initiated development of a single web based modality that when launched shall serve to introduce and guide VA staff thru the many online resources available from past VA eHealth University conferences. This modality includes, but is not limited to online performance support to guide potential trainees to pertinent training materials, a rating system for existing web-based training courses, and other valuable learning based functionalities. This project shall allow Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) staff to experience the VeHU conference by virtue of a performance support web based environment that guides trainees to the appropriate training courses via a second modality targeted at mobile users that require an HTML5 platform in addition to adding numerous user and administrative enhancements. REQUIREMENTS 2. The contractor shall provide support for developing a parallel HTML5 web based modality that includes a podcast alternative course approach to present material available from past VA eHealth University conferences as well as live and on-demand media streaming. The contractor shall provide support for integrating VeHU 2010 Web Based Trainings (WBTs) as well as Podcasts into the interview process, resource center, and database of the MyVeHU Campus. The contractor shall add on functional modules to the system which will seamlessly integrate into MyVeHU Campus. The new functional modules will be built for desktop and HTML5 configurations. The new functional modules include: exhibit hall, networking features, auto suggest capability, and predefined reports as outlined in the following tasks. The contractor shall provide the portal for access to live and on-demand media streaming to include three initial virtual conference pilot exercises. The contractor shall provide all production equipment, required technical staff, and development of scripts for recording and producing a series of VA assigned online hosts which will be integrated into both modalities of the MyVeHU campus. Period of Performance: 12 months following date of award, plus one (1) 12 month option period and one (1) additional 6 month option period.
