- Description
- This amendment is to combine the synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W15P7T-11-R-C204 and this solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This effort is for the Force XXI Battle Command and Below (FBCB2) hardware and support services for connectivity between the Dell XFR Laptop used in Tactical Operations Center (TOC) kits and the DataFast5 (DF5) Disk Duplicator. The government needs to purchase three-thousand-two-hundred-thirty-two (3232) 3.3VDC XFR PATA/SATA Adapters and XFR 5-Pin Power Cables to support FBCB2. The 3.3VDC XFR PATA/SATA Adapters and XFR 5-Pin Power Cables will provide the Army with the capability to produce replicated XFR hard disk drives in a variety of environments for mission critical events and information sharing. In addition the adapter and power cable is needed to purge XFR hard drives using purging stations. Testing has to be conducted to confirm that the new adapter and power cable work in the DF5 duplicator and in the Army's purge stations. The 3.3VDC XFR Adapter is made specifically for the purpose of acting as a communication interface between the XFR hard drives and the DF5 disk duplicators and Purge Stations. The XFR adaptor, an external box, contains ports for plugs and an internal chipset. The power cable in a non-standard 5-wire cable only to be used with the 3.3VDC XFR Adapter. The U.S. Army CECOM Contracting Center has established the IBOP website as part of the Army's Single Face to Industry, to allow electronic posting of Solicitation for Request for Proposals (RFP) Request for Quotations (RFQ) and Invitation for Bids (IFB) from CECOM to Industry. All parties interested in doing business with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive information from the IBOP at https://ibop.monmouth.army.mil.
