Description

The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System intends to negotiate on a Sole Source basis with Arjohuntleigh, 2349 West Lake Street, Suite 250, Addison, IL 60101-6188, to purchase standard installation services in the open market, for 43 of their MaxiSky 600 Chair Lift Systems that are being purchased off VA FSS Contract# V797P-4397A. The services are estimated to cost $64,500 and be added to a FSS Order off the above referenced FSS Contract, as an "Open Market Item", in accordance with FAR 8.405-6 (f) (6), which requires these Open Market Services to be first publicized (See FAR 5.101(a) (1), when they exceed $25,000. It is essential to the government's needs to have Arjohuntleigh provide the installation services, to have them honor a lifetime guarantee on all track and installation, which is essential to the government's needs. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest; accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than 3/14/2011 COB. Responses should be sent to ronald.mazzei@va.gov or faxed to Ronald Mazzei at (412) 822-3783. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 339112 and the small business size standard for this NAICS Code is 500 Employees.
