- Description
- Synopsis: The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Tucson Sector Border Patrol, intends to issue a sole-source contract to Evergreen Maintenance Center, Inc. The Border Patrol requires the use of the training facility immediately due to mission essential operational requirements. The Border Patrol requires that the facility: Shall be available for use from March 17 th - April 11 th Shall provide facility and support services necessary to lodge 8 Border Patrol agents from March 17 th - March 23 rd and up to 48 Border Patrol from March 23 rd - April 11 th Shall provide at least 5 miles of open terrain available for training Shall provide shooting range to support advanced and low-light carbine and pistol classes Shall provide use of a classroom from March 23 rd - April 11 th Shall provide 3 meals a day for 48 people from March 23 rd - April 11 th Shall provide use of facility and support services necessary to accommodate an additional week of training Must be located within 35 miles or less of Tucson, AZ and within 150 miles from the Ajo and Douglas Stations The North American industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 488190 and the size standard is $7.0M. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate directly with Evergreen Maintenance Center, Inc. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow the government to determine if the party can perform the requirement. A determination to compete this action based on the responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government. All interested parties must express their interest and capabilities in writing via email to tammie.crow@dhs.gov. No faxed documents will be accepted. If no responsive statements are received by 3/15/11 at 3PM EST, an award will be made to Evergreen Maintenance Center, Inc.
