Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command- Picatinny Contracting Center on behalf ofthe Project Manager for Close Combat Systems, Picatinny, NJ 07806-5000 is conducting a Market Survey to identify potential sources to fabricate, inspect, test, and deliver the M652 Dummy Booster, Demolition Charge. The M652 is non-electric and shall consist of a 30 foot length of Inert Detonating Cord, environmentally sealed at one end, with a Dummy cap assembly attached at the other end. The following are additional requirements for the M652: a.Dummy cap assembly - Physical characteristics: The length of the dummy cap shall be 2.25 inch to 2.35 inch. The outside diameter shall be 0.230 inch to 0.241 inch. The beginning of the crimp on the dummy cap joining it to the inert detonating cord shall be at 0.125 +/- 0.025 inches away from the end of the dummy cap. b.Inert Detonating Cord: The inert detonating cord shall comply with MIL-DTL-17124. Interested parties that believe they can meet the above requirements shall provide their capabilities. Responses shall include at a minimum: (a) name of company including contact persons name, company address, telephone numbers (voice and fax), e-mail address, (b) company size (i.e. large, foreign, small disadvantaged, veteran owned, woman owned, etc). Interested companies should provide minimum and maximum monthly production. A respondent to this survey should demonstrate adequate technical and manufacturing capability and good past performance in the explosives processing industry. Additionally, it is requested that interested sources provide the Minimal Procurement Quantity (MPQ) required for economical production. This is a market survey is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government will utilize the information provided for planning purposes only related to the Technical Data Package (TDP) and a future acquisition for this item. All information submitted will be held in a confidential status. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. All responding sources should submit their responses by email to angela.sarinelli@us.army.mil. Interested sources may also submit their responses to Army Contracting Command-Picatinny, Attn: Angela Sarinelli, Building 9, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, 07806-5000 no later than 1700 hrs EST on 31 March 2011. Telephone responses will not be accepted.
