- Minimum Essential Characteristics for Medical Mobile Wound Imaging, Measuring and Documentations Device Minimum Essential Characteristics are as follows: Multiple tools in one Area and depth/height measurement Photographic record Computerized wound assessment record - (This eliminates the need for plastic wrap, acetate grids, separate digital camera, and separate wound assessment forms) Camera is High resolution with specially devised embedded lighting. Data (picture) acquisition time is less than one (1) minuteand has automated image calibration. Data acquisition is non-contact. This reduces chance of infection and discomfort. Data is integrable with information systems. It utilizes a standard mobile computing device with special software that creates a tool to accelerate wound measurement, analysis and documentation. Runs on a WINDOWS MOBILE 5 operating system. Can automatically graph would healing over time and generate wound measurement reports. Data is automatically archived and electronic reports are automatically generated, stored or transmitted. Will export data in standard formats and designed to support HIPPA compliance Has a calibaration that will automatically correct for skin curvature and provide calibrated area and depth measurements. Small, battery-powered, and easily operated with one hand. Portable and Flexible to accommodate the camera or the subject (lab animal). Is a 3D Imager and is rapid to the effect of handling more than 200 subjects within a workday. Requires less than 60 seconds to do the imaging, anything more that that is not compatible with real-time in-vivo requirements.
