- The Supply Directorate, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to National Conveyors Company, Inc; 33 Nicholson Rd; East Granby, CT, 06026-9304. Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the unique or specialized direct replacement items requested. Facilities Maintenance Department, MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for the purchase of various direct replacement parts for the Ash Handling System located at the Central Heating Plant. The requested item is commercial in nature and will fall under the purview of commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 12. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received in a timely manner of fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT AN OFFER, WHICH WILL BE CONSIDERED. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
