- Description
- The US Marine Corps Air Station Miramar (San Diego, CA) has a requirement for hotel rooms to accomodate DoD personnel performing their duties at the 2011 MCAS Miramar Air Show. This procurement is being issued as a small business set aside. NOTE: The small business size standard for Hotels (NAICS code 721110) has recently been increased from $7.5M to $30M. All vendors are requested to update their CCR records to reflect any changes that may be necessary to reflect their current size standard. Based on historical usage, the approximate number of total room-nights for this requirement is 500; averaging 100 rooms per night from Wednesday, September 29, 2011 to Monday, October 3, 2011. The anticipated award will be a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP)-type contract. Offerer must submit quotes on the full quantity of 500 room-nights; however, only room-nights used will be paid for under this contract. The Award shall be made to a single offeror. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to make no award under this procedure. Quotes must include the following information. Failure to submit any of the following information will result in a rejected bid due to non-responsiveness: a. a list of three (3) references for a similar stay. References shall include name/POC, address, phone number and email address b. a list of facility amenities c. pricing, CAGE code, DUNS number and Federal Tax ID d. a statement confirming that your company is registered in ORCA or a copy of your company's Representations and Certifications completely filled out e. for third-party vendors, your quote shall include the additional information requested in the following paragraph. Failure to provide this information with your quote may deem your quote to be technically unacceptable and/or non-responsive. This is not a solicitation for Event Planning Services. For a proposal submitted by an offeror that is not a hotel, the offeror must describe in its proposal the technical approach for the offerors services as a prime contractor and forward a copy of a signed, written agreement between the offeror and a representative who has binding authority of the stated hotel facility. This agreement must state that it covers the period of performance requested in the Solicitation and be signed by both parties. In addition, a copy of all insurances(s) [standard business, liability, extraordinary insurances] must be submitted with the offerors technical proposal for evaluation purposes. The technical approach must provide the name, phone number and email address of the offeror. The third-party vendor must provide the name and contract information of an individual that will serve as a the hotel point-of-contact for the direct booking of rooms by the Government. Lodging must be located within 5 miles of MCAS Miramar. The Contractor will be notified no later than one week prior to the exact number of rooms needed. This notification will also include the check-in date for each room. The lodging facility must meet at a minimum the requirements of rating standards, 2-Diamond rating, as referenced in AAA Travel Guide (or equivalent rating system). MCAS Miramar reserves the right to inspect any property being considered for award. The above information is fully incorporated into the Solicitation. Bids are due by EMAIL or FAX (858-577-1492) only, prior to 1200n PST, Friday April 15, 2011. Email packages must be less than 3mb in size to be considered responsive.
