- Description
- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, intends to negotiate and award a task order on a noncompetitive basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) "Only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements" to Panamerican Consultants,Inc. 91 Tillman St. Memphis, TN 38111-2711, for follow-on work for Cataloging and Rehabilitation of Artifact Collections. This service will be delivered to Jacksonville District, Planning Division 701 San Marco Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. SIC Code is B503, NAICS Code is 541990, Size standard is $7,000,000. The sole source determination is based on the fact that Panamerican Consultants, Inc. in the past was one of the contractors who conducted some of the investigation in Puerto Rico for the Corps. A portion of the collections (48%) that need to be inventoried and rehabilitated are currently housed in Panamerican's facilities. In addition, they also have staff located in Puerto Rico who can process the other large portion of the collection currently housed in Puerto Rico which also should eliminate travel cost associated with the project. The sole source is to maintain a continuity of service and reduce cost associated with a contractor's mob. and de-mob to obtain the collections for Curation. This Notice of Intent is not a request for proposals. Information received from interested parties will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this electronic notice must be made by 10:00 a.m. EST on 31 March 2011. Responses may be submitted by e-mail to James E. Randall, (904) 232-1792, E-mail: james.e.randall@usace.army.mil.
