- Description
- The US Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) Mission Support Contracting Activity (AMSCA) intends to award a sole source FFP contract to Geodetics, Inc., of San Diego, CA, a Small Woman-Owned Business, for upgrades, modifications, and field support for Government-owned ATEC Player and Event Tracking System (TAPETS) positional dismounted soldier units (PDSU's) under the authority of 6.302-1(a)(2) on or before 1 April 2011. Services includes, but are not limited to, the provision of field engineering support during pre-test and testing periods for programming support, analysis, functional checks, and parts replacement/repairs as it pertains to proprietary equipment and software. Geodetics, Inc. will be responsible for performing upgrades on government-owned PDSUs, including but not limited to the conversion of 30 PDSU-D models to PDSU-F models; the conversion of 470 PDSU's to include Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement Systems (MILES) port and external RS232 interface; upgrades to the Ethernet interface; upgrades to 470 units with power state software to monitor battery state and internal/external power connections; and radio upgrades on all units to allow the use of Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) scheme and provide for single frequency use. Geodetics is the sole developer and proprietor of the technical equipment and software development of the Government-owned units. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 541511 with a small business size standard of $25 Million. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency before the intended award date. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement.
