- THIS RFI IS PUBLISHED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES, AND AS SUCH, TECHNICAL QUESTIONS WILL NOT BE PERMITED AT THIS TIME. This request for information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Your response to this RFI will be treated as information only and part of market research. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission or responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the Air Force in developing its acquisition strategy. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI. REQUEST FOR INFORMATION AND INDUSTRY DAY/RISK ASSESSMENT WORKSHOP - COMBINED ARMS CENTER (CAC), INFORMATION DIGITAL KIOSK DISPLAYS AND CONTROL UPGRADE. The purpose of this announcement is to identify firms who possess both the capability and experience to provide the upgraded capabilities to the digitally controlled, information kiosks, located in building 52, Sherman Hall, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The attached draft performance-based work statement provides a more detailed "needs" description of the requirement. The Government requests that interested parties specifically address how they would best address each need attached to this notice and return it no later than 1300 hrs CST on 7 March 2011. Furthermore, your response should not exceed 8 pages, and be delivered electronically to shelton.watson@us.army.mil. The response should include the following information: name of corporate point of contact (POC), telephone number, full mailing address, email address, type of business (Small/Large), CAGE code, NAICS identifier and any other pertinent information, and participation in a government preference program (if applicable).
