- Description
- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for Fifteen 3/8' Cavitating Venturies for theMagnetospheric Multiscale (MMS) Project office. Specifications are as follows: 15 each 3/8' cavitating venturies:0.045' throat diameter and 3/8' outer diameter.These caviating venturis are direct tube weld interfaces with an in-line tube profile. The delivery requirement is 6 - 8 weeks ARO.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Fox Valve Development Corporation, pursuantto FAR 13.106, for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonablyavailable from only one source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:30 p.m. local timeon the date given above. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely forthe purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitivebasis.A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a fulland open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within thediscretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
