Description
This is a PRESOLICITATION Notice for the following: Procurement is 100 percent HUBZone Small Business Set-Aside Project Name: Keweenaw History Center Roof Replacement and C&H Warehouse No.1 Window Restoration The North American Industry Classification System (NACIS) Code: 236220 "Commercial and Institutional Building Construction " The Small Business Size Standard is $33.5 Million In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the magnitude of the requirement for this contract is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 The Solicitation Number for this Project is N6410110138. The US Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office is soliciting proposals for a firm-fixed-price construction contract to provide all labor, supplies, equipment and material necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work includes, but is not limited to: furnishing all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to Rehab two Historic Structures. This project will involve two (2) historic structures owned by Keweenaw National Historical Park: the Keweenaw History Center (KHC) and the C&H Warehouse No. 1. For the KHC, the project will result in a new asphalt roof (over 6,000 sq. ft.) and exterior woodwork restoration of the eaves, soffits, gable end trim, north entrance, and west vestibule. The project will also incorporate new lead-coated copper flashings throughout and a new lead-coated copper flat seam roof for the north door hood. For the C&H Warehouse No. 1, the project will result in full restoration of 101 wood divided light windows. The project will also include fabrication and installation of new wood divided light storm windows, new metal security grilles for south-facing windows, and new cloth roller shades. Both projects will involve lead paint abatement and removal / repair of deteriorated architectural fabric. Special Requirements: These structures are historic which requires knowledge/experience in historic preservation. Lead paint will require contractor to provide proof of license for lead abatement and repair. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested and qualified parties with the time and date to be announced in the Solicitation. The Solicitation and attachments will be posted electronically on or about April 30, 2011 at the following website: www/fedbizopps.gov. All Amendments will also be posted to this website. Responses will be due approximately 30 days following the date of posting of the Solicitation unless extended. NOTE: POSTING DATE OF SOLICITATION IS NOT DEFINATE.
