- This is a posting for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F3ZT891034A001. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-49, effective 24 Jan 2011, DCN 20110311, and AFAC 2011-0214. Requirement Description: Five MEP-12 Generator Overhaul CLIN 0001: Clean and inspect five Cummins KTA-38 Cylinder blocks as follows. a. HOT TANK, DESCALE, BUFF AND PREP BLOCK b. PERFORM COMPLETE BLOCK INSPECTION AS FOLLOWS: -CLEAN AND INSPECT ALL THREAD BORES -MAG BLOCK FOR CASTING CRACKS -MEASURE AND RECORD ALL COUNTERBORE DIMENSIONS -LAP MAIN CAP AND SADDLE PARTING LINES -CLEAN AND ASSEMBLE CAPS TO BLOCK TORQUE TO SPEC, DIALBORE CRANKSHAFT BORE AND RECORD MEASUREMENTS -REMOVE CAM BEARINGS, DIALBORE GAGE CAMSHAFT BORE AND RECORD ALL DIMENSIONS -INSPECT AND DIAL BORE GAGE IDLER BORES AND RECORD ALL DIMENSIONS c. ALIGN HONE MAIN BEARING BORES d. ALIGN HONE CAM TUNNELS e. FINAL CLEAN BLOCK f. INSTALL CAM BEARINGS g. REMOVE AND INSTALL NEW GALLEY PLUGS Transportation to Travis AFB, CA 94535, is to be included in the quote.
