- THIS IS NOT A FORMAL REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) AND DOES NOT COMMIT THE DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY, HEALTHCARE ACQUISITION ACTIVITY-NORTH (HCAA-N) TO AWARD A CONTRACT NOW OR IN THE FUTURE This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability of small businesses (e.g., 8(a), service-disabled veteran owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, veteran-owned small business, and women-owned small business) under NAICS code, 339112 with less then 500 employees. Background/Scope The Government is attempting to find prospective businesses (Large, Small, or Foreign Firms) who may be interested in competing for a Firm Fixed Price required for five (5) Stryker 1288 HD Video Tower System (Brand Name or Equal). Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. HCAA-N has a need for five (5) Stryker 1288 HD Video Tower System (Brand Name or Equal). Minimum Requirements(Specifications): 1. Produce pure HD 1080i imaging 2. Maintain and sustain the HD format throughout the entire video chain/system which includes all tower components: optics, camera head, CCU, Image Management System equipment, and monitor 3. Meets the ATSC Broadcast standards for HDTV 4. Uses HD widescreen CCD (Charge Coupled Device) designs for native acquisition of the digital HDTV image 5. Must have a 3-button, 6-function interface control image and remote operation of compatible peripheral devices like CCU's, printers, and Image Management Systems 6. Processing architecture handles 2 1/2 times more information than SDTV 7. Produce an outputs image in full 1920 x 1080p 16 x 9 format or traditional 4:3 format 8. The SCD Ultra records, manages, and archives surgical images and video in native HD resolution. Through its simplified and intuitive Graphic User Interference (GUI), the Ultra provides Dual Channel video capturing and recording capabilities, as well as built in Picture-in-Picture functionality. The SDC Ultra records images and videos on its 250GB internal hard drive. These images and videos can be accessed from the hard drive for printing or saving onto external media. The SDC Ultra supports saving onto multiple forms of media; DVD/CD discs, a USB hard drive, or to a hospital network. The SDC Ultra also provides flexibility to accounts in burning their surgical information, including DVD format, DVD Data, "Real Time", or At-The-End (ATE). The market for high definition digital capture devices will continue to grow in conjunction with the growth of high definition cameras in the surgical arena. The SCD Ultra brings the total package of high-end functionality with a simple, intuitive user interface. This unit can support a broad spectrum of users from the general surgeons using HD recording and Dual Channel Video input support, to the orthopedic surgeons who are looking for simple, effective image and video capture for archiving purposes. The only wireless HD 1080p available on the market. The system has the only LED light source available on the market & doesn't lose light intensity lasting up to 7 years. Other systems use halogen & xenon light bulbs which max out at 500 hours but the light intensity decreases after the first 100 hours. The only safelight cable that automatically turns off the light source when disconnected. The best overall camera resolutions for all specialities The only digital capture system that can record multiple inputs at the same time in HD. This gives surgeon space needed to operate in the stomach. The insufflators must heat the gas, detect pressure directly to the abdomen, & can be set for different specialties. Light cables- these are connected to the scopes & plugged into the light source. Requirements include a safelight cable that is capable of automatically turning off the light source when the cable is detached from the scope for maximum fire safety. 4.Installation and Testing: a)The vendor shall be responsible for the 1st performance test and installation of equipment at the Government site. 5.Training: a)An initial operator's training shall be provided. Vendor will provide on-going monthly training for existing & new personnel established through facility. Vendor maintains 6.Warranty: a)The Vendor shall send USAFA BMT's to Stryker Endoscopy for advanced biomedical training. b)1 (one) - year warranty after the 1st performance test and installation of equipment. c)Extended coverage/service programs available Business information: The report should include achievable specifications and any other information relevant to your product or capabilities. Also, the following information is requested to be provided as part of the response to this sources sought notice: 1. Name of the company that manufactures the system components for which specifications are provided. 2. Name of company(ies) that are authorized to sell the system components, their addresses, and a point of contact for the company (name, phone number, fax number and email address). 3. Indication of number of days, after receipt of order that is typical for delivery of such systems. 4. Indication of whether each instrument for which specifications are currently on one or more GSA Federal Supply Schedule contracts and, if so, the GSA FSS contract number(s). 5. Any other relevant information that is not listed above which the Government should consider in developing its minimum specifications and finalizing its market research. The synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests.
