Description
Command and Control System - Consolidated (CCS-C) Block II Special Notice - Request for Proposal (RFP) Release Delayed General Information Contracting Office Address Department of the Air Force, Air Force Space Command, SMC - Space and Missile Systems Center, SMC/PKJ, 483 N. Aviation Blvd., Suite 2133-A8, El Segundo, CA, 90245-2808 Contracting Officer Maria Jimenez, SMC/PKJ, (310) 653-9483 Description Classification Code: A - Research and Development NAICS Code: 541712 (1000 employees) -- Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences A Command and Control System - Consolidated (CCS-C) Block II Request for Proposal (RFP) will not be released in the 1st quarter of FY12 as previously advertised. CCS-C Block II acquisition activities have been delayed. An RFP for a competitive CCS-C contract is expected to be released in the 2nd quarter of FY12 (@Jan 2012). A draft RFP release and at least one Industry Day are anticipated to occur prior to the final solicitation release. The Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) MILSATCOM Systems Directorate (SMC/MC), CCS-C Program Office has modified the existing CCS-C contract, F04701-01-C-0012, to add two 12-month sustainment option CLINs under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1(a)(2). The option CLIN for CY 2011 sustainment has been exercised. If exercised, the second sustainment CLIN will extend the current contract up to one year with a period of performance from 1 January 2012 through 31 December 2012. The modification for continued CCS-C sustainment support will be issued to the incumbent contractor, Integral Systems Inc., 5000 Philadelphia Way Lanham MD 20706-4419. The CCS-C Block II Acquisition Strategy has been neither finalized nor approved. This notice is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment by the Government in any way. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this or previous requests or announcements.
