Description
Single award term contract for Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service, Atlanta, GA. Beginning May 1, 2011, and ending April 30, 2012, with four possible options years. These specifications cover the production of microfilm requiring such operations as pickup, inspection and preparation, indexing, microfilming, duplicating, image ("blip") marks, collating, packing, labeling and marking, and distribution. The contractor must support a complete range of micrographics services. These services shall include the creation of job setups for new projects, and themodification (when required) to existing setups; filming of COM applications in 16 mm; wet processing of gelatin-based silver halide films; diazo duplication for roll film applications; quality assurance checks; film splicing; cartridge loading; the creation of independent indices as required; and the packaging, labeling, and shipment of output in a timely manner. Furnished tapes are all produced in an IBM or IBM-compatible Tier 1 environment using EBCDIC character encoding. No Tier 2 equipment will be used to produce tapes using ASCII encoding. FREQUENCY OF ORDERS: Approximately 2 orders per year, with an occasional special order. Microfilm: 16 mm x 30.5 meters (100 ft.). Polyester based, silver halide (gelatin emulsion) film shall be used. Film thickness shall be 4.0 mils for the masters and 2.5 mils for the duplicates. GOVERNMENT TO FURNISH: 36-track, ½-inch tapes fo the types designated "3840" and "3490E" by IBM. Record length is 133 characters. Data is written on the tapes in segments of approximately 2200 frames each. A gap of blank frames separate each segment. Deliver f.o.b. contractor's city to various locations using the small courier account indicated on the print order. Complete production and delivery is required within 30 to 120 workdays.
