- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to procure on a sole-source basis Battle Force Tactical training (BFTT) hardware to be assembled, configured, aligned, integrated and tested; from Kontron America Incorporated, 14118 Stowe Drive, Poway, CA 92064. The basis for the sole source is that Kontron, through an acquisition of AP Labs, has the manufactured ruggedized chassis used within the BFTT system. Kontron owns the design drawings, manufacturing processes and integrated/test procedures necessary to produce the requested items, within BFTT specifications. The hardware requirements are as follows: CLIN 0001 Three (3) each, Part Number 5001347-2, FS-1120-2 (Model FS-1120-DB7- PAC-001). Rackmount Chassis, dual seven (7) slot VME. 800W PSU. CLIN 0002 Three (3) each, Part Number 5001347-3, FS-1120-3 (Model FS-1120-B14- PAC-001). Rackmount Chassis, dual fourteen (14) slot VME. 800W PSU. CLIN 0003 Three (3) each, Part Number 5001968-1, FS-1880 (Model FS- 1880/CSTWCS). Bulkhead mount, eighteen (18) slot 6U/9U VME, dual 800W PSU ™s. A firm fixed priced contract is anticipated. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334111 with a size standard of 1000 employees. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to Combat Direction Systems Activity (CDSA) 1922 Regulus Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23461-2098. Inspection and acceptance will be at Destination by CDSA associates. This requirement shall be awarded under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The solicitation number is N00178-11-R-1040. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area; therefore, this synopsis and any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/supply. DoD will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database.
