Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Birmingham, AL (VISN 7), requires the rental of a block of six (6) standard hotel rooms (including 2 handicapped rooms) with 2 queen or double beds for VA Hoptel Patients from Sunday through Thursday each week. Hotel must be within a 15 mile radius of the VA Medical Center Birmingham, AL. Hotel must be equipped with at least 2 handicapped rooms. All rooms must be equipped with at least a refrigerator, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, data port, voice mail and coffee maker. Shuttle service must also be provided. The contract performance period shall be a Base Year from April 1, 2011 through March 31, 2012 with 3 one-year options to renew. This procurement is set aside 100% for Small Business concerns. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 721110 with a standard size of $7 million. The solicitation will be issued on or about March 23, 2011.
