- This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation/proposal being requested and a written solicitation will only be forwarded to the incumbent offeror (Roche Diagnostics Corp) on a sole source basis. The Fort Belvoir Dewitt Army Community Hospital, Ft. Belvoir, VA has a requirement to establish a 6 months follow-on contract (for approximately $150,000) to supply various commercial cost per items and associated (leased) equipment and services. Contractor's equipment is already installed to support this interim period and/or follow-on contract. During the 6 months period (Apr 1, 2011 through Sep 30,2011), mission requirement or relignment decision will be completed associated with BRAC implementation. The tentative time frame for issuance of the Request for Proposal (RFP) W91YTZ-11-R-0005 is on or around March 25, 2011. This solicitation will establish the RFP due date and time. Any amendments to the RFP will be forwarded directly to the sole source offeror. No further distribution of amendments will occur. Access to the solicitation will only be made available to prospective offeror via email distribution directly to the Offeror. No further hard copy distribution of the solicitation or amendments thereto, will occur. Any questions concerning this requirement should be directed to the Contract Specialist, Acy Bellamy, at Acy.Bellamy@Amedd.Army.Mil. All questions should be submitted in writing via email to the above. The Government intends to award one contract as a result of this Synopsis/RFP. Award will be made to the sole offeror providing a technically acceptable offeror. Offeror must be determined responsible according to the standards of the FAR to be eligible for award.
