Description
The Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center, Product Manager Soldier Clothing and Individual Equipment (PM-SCIE), Natick, MA is conducting a market survey to locate potential facilities that can support Military Free Fall (MFF) and Vertical Wind Tunnel operations. The facility will have the following specifications- Must possess an area designated for MFF operations to include an in-door packing area. Provide Aircraft that can support Over The Ramp (OTR) operations and climb to altitude of up to 17,500 AGL in less than 30 mins. The Aircraft can support up to 12 fully equipped parachutists with a parachutist's All Up Weight (AUW) of 360 LBS. Capable of supporting day and night time MFF operations. Capable of supporting operations seven days a week. No landing hazards wires or water within 500M of the Military Landing area. Vertical Wind Tunnel within walking distance of the packs facility. Vertical Wind Tunnel must be able to support a MFF equipped parachutist with an AUW of 360LBS All interested firms, regardless of size, are encouraged to respond to this request for information. Information submissions should include available technology, product literature and illustrations, and relevant company background/experience. Available product pricing will also be provided as part of the information submission. Information submissions must be received by 15 April 2011.
