- The solicitation is amend to add industry question and answer. In additon, to incorporate a 60 to 100 miles radius landfill for the government to dispose friable and non-friable asbestos. 1. INDUSTRY QUESTION: I was reviewing the combined synopsis/solicitation for the friable and non-friable asbestos. The document only allows for one price per ton for both. There is a difference in cost for both, and it would be beneficial to the government to have 1 CLIN for Friable, and one CLIN for Non Friable..otherwise all asbestos is being charged at the higher rate (friable). The friable is also less common than the non friable, so it could really negatively impact the cost of this service. Please let me know your thoughts. GOVERNMENT ANSWER: NO, the government will not seperate the CLIN. The Government is solicitating for a landfill to accept friable and non-friable asbestos within a 60 to 100 miles radius from Aberdeen Proving Ground. RESPONSE DEADLINE: This amendment will not extend the solicitaiton. Proposals are due by March 26, 2011 4:00PM EST, NO EXCEPTIONS.
