- Description
- The GSA, Integrated Acquisition Environment Office, intends to award a sole source contract to Global Computer Enterprise, Inc (GCE) of Reston VA, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(ii). The estimated dollar value of this award is $9,000,000 for a 12 month base year of performance and an additional two (2) one-year option periods. FPDS-NG was initially scheduled for transition /migration into an overall integrated architectural platform through an existing, competitively awarded contract (GS00I-10-AA-C-0046). This sole source effort is necessitated by the schedule delay of the transition/migration implementation schedule. The Government intends to continue in their overall integration of the FPDS-NG system. The work being procured is a logical follow-on to GCE's incumbent contract for the development of a major system (FPDS-NG). The FPDS-NG system is a government-wide electronic data collection and management information dissemination system that was originally acquired as a means of implementing the following statutes: the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act of 2006 (Pub. L. No. 109-282), which requires that all Federal award data must be publicly accessible; section 204 of the E-government Act of 2002 (Public Law 107-347; 44 U.S.C. 3501 note) and the Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act (41 U.S.C. 403 et seq.), which require that the Federal government ensure the existence and operation of a single searchable website, accessible by the public at no cost to access. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations and no solicitation is currently available; however, interested parties may submit their interest and capability by responding to this notice via e-mail to danny.garo@gsa. gov by 11 A.M. EST, 28 March 2011. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. This notice will close by 11 A.M. EST, 28 March 2011. GSA will not compensate interested parties on their submittals. A determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government reserves the right to cancel the Sole Source award. The cancellation notice will be posted on Fbo.gov.
