- Description
- Statement of Work The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Education Division has a requirement to provide preschool classrooms with materials that support intentional teaching and purposeful learning of the DoDEA Science Content Standards within a problem-based, project-oriented environment using a Firm-Fixed-Price contract on a sole source basis with Teaching Strategies,7101 Wisconsin Avenue Suite 700, Bethesda Maryland 20814, under the authority of FAR 6.302. DoDEA has a requirement to provide all prekindergarten (PK) students with a quality integrated science program that is consistent with the PK curriculum and assessment system currently utilized in its classrooms. Currently, DoDEA uses Creative Curriculum® for Preschool, and its associated digital assessment system, Creative Curriculum.net. The updated Creative Curriculum® for Preschool, Creative Curriculum® System 5 for Preschool, is a research-based system that uses the studies approach as a method of integrating content learning through children's in-depth investigation of meaningful topics. The program focuses on science and social studies topics while promoting skills in language and literacy, mathematics, technology, and the arts. Teaching Strategies is the sole provider for Creative Curriculum. In order to have consistency in curriculum, instruction, and assessment, the PK integrated science materials must align directly with the current curriculum framework and assessment system utilized in DoDEA preschool classrooms. DoDEA PK classrooms are designed and supported by the Creative Curriculum® framework. Further, Creative Curriculum.net is the assessment system used in DoDEA PK Classrooms. This is not a request for competitive quotes. However, any party that believes it is capable of meeting DoDEA's requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to perform the requirement. All submissions must be received by the response date and time of this notice. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5. The Department of Defense requires all contractors to register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to receive any contract award or payment. The CCR website is:http://www.ccr.gov. All comments and questions regarding the solicitation/RFP shall be submitted in writing and sent to the following e-mail address: Hector.vega@hq.dodea.edu
