- Description
- The National Park Service is seeking a source to provide Mammoth Cave National Park with four Blue Bird Propane Powered buses (one of the four shall be handicap accessible if funding permits). This procurement is a total small business set-aside with an anticipated award to a distributor of Blue Bird Propane Powered Buses. The applicable NAICS code is 423110 with an associated size standard of 100 employees or less. The propane powered buses shall be 2012 model year conventional school bus chassis, 273" wheelbase with a minimum 8.1 liter with LPI (Liquid Propane Injeciton System). Additional requirements shall be available on or about March 23, 2011 in Request for Quotations Q5532110003. The park is located halfway between Nashville, Tennessee and Louisville, Kentucky (approximately 90 miles from each location) in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky in Edmonson County. Estimated Quantity: Four Propane Powered Buses with an estimated magnitude between $350,000 to $450,000. Contractors having capabilities to provide the above mentioned Propane Powered Buses are invited to respond to Request for Quotation Q5532110003 no later than COB 08 April 2011. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet at www.ccr.gov. The government reserves the right to consider a small business, 8(a) or any other set aside arrangement as deemed appropriated for this procurement. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quotations electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at https://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about March 21, 2011. The Standard Form 33 is available at the website by clicking on the "printer friendly form" link. The remainder of the solicitation (including all pertinent attachments) is available at the site by clicking on the link "clauses and attachments," which is located in the blue box near the middle of the screen. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at https://ideasec.nbc.gov/j2ee/login.jsp.
