Description
Amendment 1 to RFQ for NMR Spectrometer Console The purpose of this amendment is to supply potential offerors with measurement data on the NMR magnet and answer questions received to date. Magnet Data 1. Magnet manufacturer: Oxford 2. Magnet serial #: 62440 3. Dewar/Cryostat #: 93894 4. Project/Job #: DLN0495/30/1 5. Magnet age: ~ 20 years 6. Magnet 1H frequency: 300 MHz 7. Room temp bore diameter: 54 mm 8. Helium transfer tube length: 1676 mm 9. Ceiling height: 3658 mm 10. Centerline to bottom flange: 320 mm 11. Floor to bottom flange: 662.5 mm 12. Stand height: 662.5 mm 13. Top flange to bottom flange: 725.5 mm 14. Top flange to top of He fill port: 529 mm The magnet has a safety drop-off plate, flat bottom plate and anti-vibration system. Questions and answers: 1. What is the expected resistance and inductance of the gradient coils? We do not have gradient coils currently, so we are unable to answer this question at this time. However, one probe manufacturer produces gradient coil probes with resistances on the order of 1 Ohm (0.7-1.6 Ohms, and inductances on the order of hundreds of microHenries (130-200 µH). 2. For the cryogenic monitors, who is the manufacturer of the magnet and what is the type cryostat? Oxford is the manufacturer of both. 3. Is the magnet already equipped with He(l) and N2(l) sensors? The magnet is equipped with a console-controlled He(l) sensor, with level readout on the console as well. The current N2(l) sensor is a separate system and the display is not part of the console.
