Market Survey - Sources Sought Synopsis H-60 Aircraft Protective Covers The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Aviation Logistics Center, is issuing this sources sought synopsis as part of a market survey for H-60 Aircraft Protective Covers. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of companies that currently make covers for the H-60 Aircraft. The H-60 Aircraft Protective Cover shall possess the following characteristics: • Form-fitting to protect the entire aircraft from sun, rain, dust, dirt, and birds • Water-proof to shed rain, but breathable to allow trapped water vapor to be released • Allow installation and removal by two people • Able to withstand winds of 60 miles per hour • Reusable • 3-5 year Warranty Response to this notice shall consist of a short (3 pages or less) initial White Paper response describing a current design. The White Paper shall include the following details: (1) Type of material, (2) Estimated production cost for each aircraft cover (3) Approximate lead-time for acquiring your product. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 336413 - Other Aircraft Part and Auxiliary Equipment. The small business size standard is 1,000 employees. Interested organizations that currently make this product should respond by providing the Government the following information: point of contact, address, telephone and fax numbers, email address, DUNS Number, CAGE Code and/or Tax ID Number, business size category (large, small, small disadvantaged, etc.), a brief summary of the company's capabilities, description of facilities, personnel, and related manufacturing experience. Provide any supporting information such as commercial literature, catalogs, etc., and answers for the following questions: (1) Is your product listed on a GSA schedule? (2) Are other government agencies using your products? If so which agencies, POCs and contract numbers? Responses must be received on or before 7 April 2011 at 3:00 PM, EST. This notice is to assist the USCG in determining potential sources only. It does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The U.S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are NOT a request to be added to a list of prospective offerors or to receive a copy of any future solicitation. Firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response does not constitute a request to be considered for a contract award. After review of the responses, if the Government proceeds with an acquisition, a solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps.gov. Interested parties must provide a separate response to any solicitation issued by the USCG for this requirement. All information marked as proprietary information will be safeguarded to prevent disclosures to non-government personnel and entities. Your interest in this USCG requirement is appreciated.
