Description

The National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR13.106 (b) (1), with Agilent Technologies for On-Site Maintenance and Repair Services on a Network Analyzer System. As the manufacturer, Agilent Technologies is the only known vendor capable of providing the repair and maintenance services without voiding the warranty. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334515. NO solicitation package will be issued. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Inquires will only be accepted via email to jennifer.malcolm@nist.gov. The government will consider responses received by 12:00 p.m., MST, 4/1/2011. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. No telephone requests will be honored.
