- Description
- The United States Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to award on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106 to Kinemetrics, Inc., 222 Vista Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91107, for four (4) High Dynamic Range Accelerographs. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The ERDC Information Technology Laboratory has a requirement to provide upgraded earthquake monitoring instrumentation at the Little Rock District's Norfolk Dam Project. The requested instruments are ETNA instruments manufactured by Kinemetrics, Inc. which is the only company manufacturing the equipment that meets the requirements: fully self-contained, three channel, digital recording, strong-motion accelerographs with flash memory data storage, internal tri-axial force balance type accelerometers, 24-bit resolution @ 200 sps, internal/external battery power, and with self test and accelerometer functional test capability that provides end-to-end calibration of the instrument.
