Description
Dear Prospective Offerors: The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for the West Bank and Gaza intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP), to implement the program described below. The full and open solicitation is to provide technical assistance aiming towards the development of a prosperous private sector in the West Bank and Gaza that is economically integrated into the global economy. Eligible offerors must be included in geographical code 000. The purpose of the resulting contract is to improve access of small and medium-sized Palestinian firms to the global economy through strengthening the competitiveness and export potential of at least four sectors essential to the future prosperity of the Palestinian economy. The following represents the four priority sectors: 1. Agriculture and Agribusiness 2. Stone and Marble 3. Tourism 4. Information Technology The contractor will provide technical assistance and grants within these sectors and to business support organizations to improve exports, income, and employment in these sectors and in the overall Palestinian economy. The resulting contract is a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) contract with an estimated period of performance of three years with an option to extend for two additional years. The place of performance under the anticipated contract is West Bank and Gaza. The solicitation will be posted on the FEDBIZOPPS web page (http://www.fbo.gov/). In accordance with FAR 5.102(d), availability of the solicitation is limited to this electronic medium only. It is the responsibility of the recipient of this solicitation to ensure that it has been received in its entirety. USAID bears no responsibility for data errors resulting from this transmission. Requests for other copies of the solicitation will be disregarded without notice to the requestor. Please note that issuance of the RFP solicitation and award of a contract under this RFP is subject to availability of funds and other internal USAID approvals.
