- The Contracts Office, LOGCOM, Albany MCLB Albany, GA is antisipating the issuance of a Time and Material type contract as a set-aside to Service Disabled Veterans Business Concerns. Services will consist of work efforts that shall be performed by the contractor in support of surge requirements by Maintenance Center (MC) Barstow (MCB), Barstow, California.. The contractor employees will be employed in various areas supporting MCB to perform such functions as support roles to move, transport, receipt, issue, store, stock, and inventory materials needed by the various shops during the vehicle maintenance cycle to maintain MCB ™s production schedules. Place of Performance: Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM), Maintenance Center Barstow, Barstow, Ca. 2.1. Contractor shall receive, store, issue, and inventory equipment and materials. 2.2 Contractor shall perform limited aspects of supply management functions. 2.3 Contractor shall operate manually controlled forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock pickers. 2.4 Contractor shall perform a variety of warehousing duties including verification of materials against receiving documents, notating and reporting discrepancies. 2.5 Contractor shall receive, store and issue hand tools. 2.6 Contractor shall perform a variety of Information Technology (IT) functions including, but not limited to, diagnosing errors, assisting in writing programs and running reports. 2.7 Contractor shall perform a variety of Technical Writer function including, but not limited to, writing and editing technical reports, brochures, and/or manuals for internal documentation, customer reference, or publication. 2.7 The contractor shall provide an integrated onsite Management (Mgmt) team to assist in the assignment of requirements to contractor employees. This onsite management team will work closely with the Government management team to ensure proper coordination/communication of duties. The contractor mgmt team will handle all administrative issues concerning contract employees i.e. leave management, discipline, hiring, firing and layoff as appropriate. 2.8 The contractor shall participate in safety meetings and safety training. Contractor shall meet all OSHA and VPP requirements for Maintenance Center Barstow. 2.9 Contractor shall compile and record data and perform administrative duties. 2.10 Contractor shall ensure employees have all required certifications for skill set prior to bringing employee on board.
