Description

The VA Minneapolis Contracting and Purchasing Office, 708 South Third Street, Suite 200E, Minneapolis, MN 55415 on behalf of the Facilities Engineering Service, VA Medical Center, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417 is seeking to award to a suitable Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concern. This is NOT an ARRA project. This synopsis is published in accordance with VA Acquisition Regulations (VAAR) 810.001 and 810.002. General Scope of Contract: Provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment and design-build services necessary for the design and construction of project 618-11-113, Renovated Nutrition (NFS) Pod and Community Living Center (CLC) Serving Area in Building 70 (hospital) at the VAMC Minneapolis, MN. The project will design and renovate the tray assembly line (Pod) and renovate the Community Living Center food service and self-serve areas. The project will involve two phases in the tray assembly area in the basement kitchen, both demolition and remodeling, and a single phase in the CLC area involving minor demolition and construction as well as providing certain food service equipment in both areas. The Pre-bid meeting/Site-visit will be announced upon Solicitation issuance. The date for offerors to complete and submit their proposals (original required) is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. CT. In accordance with the VA Acquisition Regulations (VAAR 836.204) Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Liquidated Damages: $200.00 per calendar day, including holidays and weekends. NAICS 238290- $14.0M applies. The anticipated completion of this project is 150 calendar days after "Notice to Proceed (NTP) to Design." All respondents must be registered in the CCR database (http://www.ccr.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://orca.bpn.gov), along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/).Respondents must be registered in VetBiz at (http://www.vetbiz.gov/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Hard copies will not be mailed.
